Larry was born in Robertson County, TN July 13, 1961 to James & Sandra Pinson of Greenbrier. He attended Greenbrier High and graduated in June 1979. He married Vicki Batts, High School sweet heart in July of 1979. He is a Tool & Die Maker by trade, but a Preacher at heart. Vicki is a Pharmacy Tech at McCormick’s in White House. They have two daughters, Melissa Philips (Chris) and Jessica Cole (Matt), who both work in the medical field. (Also one granddogter, Maiya).

He attended the Memphis School of Preaching where he graduated in June of 1997. He has preached in Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky, and Tennessee. His last local work was in Pleasant View, TN. He also taught one course on Biblical Authority at The Middle Tn. School of Preaching and Biblical Studies, held at Waycross Church of Christ. Vicki and I are grateful for the opportunity to work with the congregation at Ivy Point.
